THE DEADLINE for submitting binding bids for Slovenské elektrárne has been set back a week to July 28, the Hospodárske noviny daily wrote.

"Investors were literally overwhelmed by information in the last two weeks concerning legislation, payments to the Fund for the Liquidation of Nuclear Waste... and privatisation documents,” said Peter Mitka from PricewaterhouseCoopers, the advisor to the privatisation. He added that the postponement would not harm investors.

Mitka said that the changed date was not connected to unclear privatisation criteria.
