Samsung Electronics Slovakia invests big

SAMSUNG Electronics Slovakia invested Sk1 billion (€25 million) to construct and equip a new production hall that will create more than 1,000 jobs, the private news agency SITA wrote.

The company expects that the new hall’s turnover will grow from last year's Sk8 billion (€199 million) to Sk65 billion (€1.6 billion) when it reaches full capacity in 2005.

The new hall will open in June and produce laser printers, satellite TV sets, plasma and LCD TV sets, and DVD recorders.
