REPRESENTATIVES of Samsung Electronics Slovakia, the Slovak University of Technology (STU) and Žilina University (ŽU) signed an agreement on cooperation in science, research and education in Galanta on June 23, according to the TASR newswire.
Samsung's plant in Galanta, its biggest production unit in Europe, and the two universities will participate in an applied research project in which the universities will provide teachers and students and Samsung will contribute human resources, space, equipment and other elements. Samsung Electronics Slovakia CEO Chel Woon Youn, STU rector Robert Redhammer and ŽU rector Tatiana Čorejová signed the agreement in person, TASR wrote.
Education, support of science, and research at universities are among Samsung’s corporate responsibility priorities in Slovakia.
