SAPA agrees to takeover of Alufinal

SWEDISH firm SAPA is to acquire Alufinal, the largest unit of the ZSNP aluminium smelter complex in Žiar nad Hronom, if the Antitrust Authority (PMÚ) approves the recent takeover deal, the TASR news agency wrote.

Alufinal specializes in the production of aluminium profiles for electrical and mechanical engineering as well as the furniture industry.

SAPA is one of the leading aluminium profile producers, with operations in Europe, Asia, and North America, and a turnover of 14 billion Swedish crowns (€1.49 billion).

ZSNP already cooperates with foreign manufacturers such as Mexico's Nemak and Norsk Hydro, Norwegian state concern.
