"The investors should create at least 3,885 jobs and at most 5,382," said SARIO spokesman Michal Nvota.

The biggest single investment was by an unnamed company from Denmark that deals in plastics and plans to invest €22.5 million in the southern Slovak town of Štúrovo. The firm will create around 70 jobs.

Another major project is by a Korean company operating in the electrical engineering industry, which should employ as many as 1,750 workers in Lednické Rovne.
