The coalition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party, which recently issued a pamphlet lambasting the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) and the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) – a move that outraged its ruling coalition partners the Slovak Democratic and Christian Union (SDKÚ), the Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) and Most-Híd – has translated the publication into German, the TASR newswire reported on Thursday, September 22.
The German version has been published on SaS's website, www.strana-sas.sk. TASR also reported that the party is currently translating the leaflet into English and Hungarian. The rest of the coalition has accused SaS of pursuing a political campaign with the issue despite an internal coalition agreement not to. SaS rejected this criticism, claiming that there is no agreement forbidding individual parties from saying anything about the EFSF/ESM.
