Finance Minister Brigita Schmognerová in parliament yesterday aggressively defended her proposal that state funds distributing taxpayer money in non-transparent ways be eliminated, as envisaged by the 2002 state budget draft. She told dissenting legislators: “You are wringing your hands in vain, my dear MPs, because I have arguments on my side, and you apart from wringing your hands have nothing.”
