Slovak President Rudolf Schuster denied the rumours that he has already confirmed his presidential candidacy for the April 3 race.
Schuster's spokesman, Ján Füle, told media on Wednesday 14 that Schuster had decided to run for re-election, the daily SME reported.
Media also reported that Schuster was considering hiring a US election campaign consultant.
Only the opposition Slovak Communist Party considers Schuster a suitable presidential candidate.
