PRESIDENT Rudolf Schuster was reported to have said that he knows that the South Korean carmaker Hyundai will invest in Slovakia.
The Slovak daily SME wrote on January 22 that, during a flight back from his official visit to Egypt, Schuster said he knew that the final decision had already been made but that he “couldn’t say it” publicly yet.
Officials did not comment on the matter. A final decision regarding Hyundai’s $1.5 billion (€1.2 billion) central European investment is expected at the end of February.
