THE SLOVAK Democratic and Christian Union (SDKÚ) and the Hungarian Coalition Party (SMK) are trying to deescalate the row between the New Citizen's Alliance (ANO) and the Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) coalition parties, according to the daily Pravda.
Both the SDKÚ and the SMK sent out a message yesterday saying that they will not allow for the coalition to break up or subject it to any changes.
Gyula Bárdos of the SMK told the daily that there would be no " early elections, nor reconstruction of the cabinet. We need to return to the original key agreements, the coalition contract, and all four parties must keep to the rules of the game."
Speaker of parliament and KDH chairman Pavol Hrušovský criticized his political partners for making the whole issue seem much simpler than it actually is.
