PRIME Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda's Slovak Democratic and Christian Union (SDKÚ) sold its premises in Bratislava's Medená ulica to a limited liability company, which has failed to fulfil its legal duties, Pravda daily wrote.
The Soul company, to which the SDKÚ sold the premises in the centre of Bratislava, has failed to submit accounts to the business registry in the three years it has been founded.
According to the SME daily, Soul obtained part of the building at Medená at the beginning of this year. Back in 2003 an unknown entity took over the SDKÚ's Sk22 million (€580,000) debt and the party refuses to publish its name.
The SDKÚ inherited the debts from the Democratic Union (DÚ), which later merged with the SDKÚ. The DÚ's headquarters was at Medená and, according to Pravda the premises at Medená were allegedly the collateral for the DÚ's loans.
The SDKÚ as well as representatives of Soul refused to comment on the matter.
