The Party of the Democratic Left (SDL), the second largest party in the ruling government coalition, held a meeting of its national council October 23 and 24 in Zemplinska Sirava, a holiday resort in eastern Slovakia, to evaluate the performance of the coalition after one year in power.
An SDĽ spokesperson said that the party sees no reason for a major cabinet reshuffle, and expressed full support for all SDĽ ministers. However, leftist democrats in the party said they want a change in the way the cabinet works, in particular the decision-making processes.
