SDĽ talking fusion with left parties

Pavol Koncoš, Agriculture Minister and leader of the far-left SDĽ party, has said the SDĽ is holding talks with the governmental SOP and SDSS left-of-centre parties on a possible fusion with the SDĽ before September elections. All three parties in recent polls have been scoring below the five per cent of popular support needed to secure representation in parliament.
