A regional court has agreed with a prosecutor’s request to have a six-month term in pre-trial custody extended another six months in the case of four policemen from eastern Slovakia’s Revúca and Jelšava districts charged in the killing of Slovak Roma Karol Sendrei in July 2001. Another three policemen are being investigated while at liberty. The case file is with the Attorney General’s office, and no date has been set for a trial to begin.
