Power engineering company Slovenské Energetické Strojárne (SES) Tlmače has won a contract to supply equipment for Puerto Coronel, a 370 MW power plant block in Chile. SES Tlmače will take part in the turnkey contract in a consortium with the Italian company Mairengineering Torino. The share of SES on the order is about Sk3.2 billion (€95 million). The contract will run over three years, the SITA news wire wrote.
The investor and client is the Chilean company Colbun, the second biggest power plant company in Chile. SES Tlmače marketing director Viliam Petráš said that a part of the original offer is also an option for a second block of the same type. The client can use the option by the end of 2007.
