Silent homage to Beslan victims

SLOVAK Education Minister Martin Fronc has asked all schools to observe a minute's silence at noon September 14 in memory of the victims of the Beslan massacre, the news wire TASR wrote.

European Parliament President Josep Borell Fontelless has called for schools across the European Union to hold a minute's silence at the same time.

At least 335 people, half of them children, died in the violent denouement to the hostage crisis in the southern Russian town on September 3.
