EXPANDING its list of destinations, from April 10 the Slovak low-cost airline company SkyEurope Airlines will launch regular flights between Bratislava and Rome. The company will operate a Boeing 737 airliner on this route, the news wire SITA reported.
This year the company expanded its fleet to six Boeings and six Embraers. The former will cover flights on the west-east lines and the latter will fly to destinations on the east-east lines.
In addition to Bratislava and Košice, the company has also established a base in Budapest.
This year SkyEurope plans to expand onto the Polish market. Total investments allocated to expansion should reach $20 million (€16.5 million).
Last year the company employed a staff of 200 and this year it plans to recruit another 100 employees.
