Slota and Pocora reportedly agreed that they viewed as negative Hungary's policy of granting Hungarian state citizenship more easily to ethnic Hungarians living in neighbouring countries.

"We agreed that it's a provocation ... Pocora informed us that in western Romania, which has a Hungarian majority, several governors have requested dual citizenship," said Slota.

Both representatives expressed concerns about current developments in North Africa which may result in an influx of immigrants to Europe. The EU should take a clear stance towards the issue, while currently "it is only passing the buck", they reportedly agreed.
