Slota won't head SNS candidate list in 2009 EP elections

Slovak National Party (SNS) chairman Ján Slota won't head the party’s list of candidates for next year's European Parliament elections, but will be atop for local parliamentary elections in 2010, the party agreed at its meeting in Černová (Žilina region) on October 25.

The SNS has chosen five candidates for the EP elections - Vladimir Čečot, Daniel Klacko, Jaroslav Paška, Rafael Rafaj and Dušan Švantner - but has yet to decide who will head the list.

"These five people will make up the top five, even if the order won't be known and clear until the next party meeting planned for the beginning of December," Slota said. TASR
