The delegation of the Slovak Construction Ministry visited the Czech Republic at the invitation of Czech Minister for Local Development Jaromir Cisar.

Since the construction sector is one of the most underfinanced sectors in Slovakia, the meeting was designed to help find ways to improve construction's financial situation. The talks included discussion about ways to support the construction of apartment houses for low-income families, implement a Western-style home mortgage and loan system, as well as a renewal of the current government housing fund. The role of state administration and local-government authorities in housing development was also discussed.
