Slovak windsurfer Patrik Pollák garnered a bronze medal at a World Championship in the non-Olympic class Raceboard competition in the German town of Warnemuende on July 11, the TASR newswire reported. The world champion was a Pole, Maksimilan Wojcik, and the silver medal went to German Martin Moritz.
“It was an unforgettable experience. I am happy that I succeeded in the end, as I did not do very well. Three times, it was a close achievement, but finally, I defended the third place,” Pollák told TASR, adding that it was one of the biggest championships recently for the high number of countries and contestants participating.
