THE SLOVAK economy grew by 2.5 percent y-o-y in the third quarter after seasonal adjustment, according to a flash estimate by Eurostat.
The Slovak economy grew by 0.6 percent in comparison with previous quarter after seasonal adjustment while second quarter grew also by 0.6 percent in comparison with the first. The eurozone average was 0.2 percent growth and by 0.3 percent EU-wide in a q-o-q comparison, the SITA newswire reported.
The volume of GDP at current prices in the three quarter of 2014 reached €19,854.8 million what represented the increase by 2.3 percent in comparison with the same period of the last year, according to Statistics Office (ŠÚ).
Total employment in the reference period reached 2.2 million persons. In comparison with the same period of the year 2013 it increased 1.4 percent. Seasonally-adjusted total employment rose by 1.5 percent as compared to the three quarter of 2013 and by 0.3 percent as compared to the previous quarter, ŠÚ reported.
