Slovak foreign trade posted Sk10.6 billion deficit in April

SLOVAKIA's foreign trade deficit totalled Sk10.6 billion (€280.19 million) in April, up Sk2.6 billion year-on-year. According to the Statistics Office, exports grew by 10.3 percent year-on-year in April to Sk88 billion, while imports were up 12.3 percent to Sk98.5 billion.

In the January-April period, Slovakia's trade deficit came in at Sk34 billion, an increase of Sk12.8 billion year-on-year. Exports rose 20.8 percent to Sk355.1 billion, while imports were up 23.5 percent to Sk389 billion, TASR wrote.
