Slovak ice-hockey players finish World Championships in 12th place

Slovakia lost 1:2 to host team Germany at the World Ice Hockey Championships on Tuesday, May 18, thus ending their participation in the competition without achieving a quarter-final place.

Slovakia lost 1:2 to host team Germany at the World Ice Hockey Championships on Tuesday, May 18, thus ending their participation in the competition without achieving a quarter-final place.

Goals were shot by Slovakia’s Svatoš and German players Barta and Kreutzer. It was Slovakia’s third consecutive loss at the championships. The Sme daily said the result put Slovakia in 12th place.
