Slovak ice hockey team beats Belarus 4:2 at the World Championship

The second match of Slovak ice hockey players in the German city of Cologne at the World Championship had a dramatic and thrilling course. Slovaks knew from the beginning that a potential loss could complicate their ambitions.

They were losing 0:2 to the Belarus team and only after a decisive first goal by Zagrapan did the wheel of fortune turn. After other goals from Čiernik and two from Bartovič, Slovaks won over their rivals 4:2, the Sme daily wrote on its website.

The next Slovak match will be on Thursday with Kazakhstan.
