Slovak KIA plant to produce new sports model in 2013

The Kia Motors Slovakia plant will start producing the new Kia pro_cee'd GT model next year. Kia Slovakia spokesman Dušan Dvořák informed the SITA newswire that the car will be a sports model.

The Kia Motors Slovakia plant will start producing the new Kia pro_cee'd GT model next year. Kia Slovakia spokesman Dušan Dvořák informed the SITA newswire that the car will be a sports model.

“The Kia pro_cee'd GT car will be available with a turbocharged petrol 1.6-litre GDI engine and a six-speed gearbox,” Dvořák added. The first cars should be completed during the second half of 2013.

Kia Motors Slovakia was the first production plant of the Kia Motors Corporation established in Europe. Production in the plant started in December 2006. Currently the Slovak plant employs over 3,900 people. More than 1,257,000 vehicles have been produced there since it began operating.
