Police have completed their investigation into two of the three cases involving attempts by Nigerian nationals to smuggle drugs via their stomachs into Slovakia, the spokesperson for the Regional Directorate of the Police Corps in Bratislava, Tatiana Kurucová, told the TASR newsire on September 10.
The first Nigerian - Raymond O., 34 - was arrested on June 9 trying to smuggle 70 capsules of heroin. On June 23, the second of the drug-smuggling Africans - Monday Kelly A., 31 - was arrested with 73 capsules of heroin in his stomach. The last detainee was apprehended by the police on June 27. Chelson Macjud I., 29, was carrying 66 packages of cocaine in his stomach.
Kurucova added that 34-year-old Raymond O. will face prosecution, while she didn't specify whether the second of the trio will also be charged. The third case continues to be investigated, she added. In all three cases the drugs were put into condoms before being swallowed. TASR
