Slovak soldiers will stay in missions

SLOVAKIA will not withdraw its units from Iraq, Kosovo, and Afghanistan as a reaction to the recent terrorist attacks in Madrid, the country's defence minister, Juraj Liška, told NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer.

Liška told the NATO secretary general that Slovakia has continued reforming its armed forces and the reforms include the adjustment of the army to new security threats, such as terrorism, the Slovak daily Hospodárske noviny wrote.
