THE CONSOLIDATED sales of the Slovak Telecom group for the first half of this year totalled Sk14.3 billion (€367 million). Consolidated operating costs of the group (without depreciation) reached Sk7 billion (€180 million).
The results include data for Slovak Telecom’s 100 percent subsidiary T-Mobile Slovensko.
According to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the group’s mid-year revenues from fixed-line services before consolidation amounted to Sk8 billion (€205 million) and revenues from mobile communication reached Sk6.9 billion (€177 million), the SITA news agency reported.
Investments from the group, oriented chiefly towards the extension of network capacities and the increased effectiveness of broadband services, totalled Sk2.3 billion (€59 million).
The Slovak Telecom group employed 7,083 people at the end of June 2005. Of this, 5,836 persons worked in the fixed-line services, and mobile subsidiary T-Mobile employed 1,247 people on average.
