SLOVAK Telecom (ST) no longer has exclusive hold of the Slovak landline market. Competitors are offering peak time rates at a third less than ST, the Pravda daily reported.
On weekday evenings, the new market players are offering calls at the same rate as ST. Slovak Telecom remains cheaper during weekend.
So far, three companies are interconnected with Slovak Telecom: eTel, Amtel and Dial Telecom. Very soon, Nextra and Slovanet will also join the landline market.
