The development reflects falling demand for fixed-line voice services and growth in the share of mobile voice services in Slovakia over the past five years. ST now sees the future of fixed-line services in broadband, new voice and data services based on IP technologies, and internet content development, said ST product marketing director Joerg Zeddies at a press conference.

In line with its change in strategy ST will introduce a line of products and services called "Triple-Play" to the market in the first half of this year, including high-speed internet, voice-over-internet and digital television, the SITA news agency wrote.

Within Triple Play ST will launch the test operation of a digital TV service in July, hoping to launch the digital TV in October.
