Miroslav Trnka, technical director and partner of the ESET software company and winner of Ernst & Young’s 'Slovak Entrepreneur of the Year 2006' award, will participate in the World Entrepreneur of the Year contest, which will announce its winners in Monte Carlo on Saturday.
This was the first time that a Slovak entrepreneur has taken part in the contest along with 40 national winners worldwide. The event has been organized for seven years in a row by the audit and accounting firm Ernst & Young.
ESET is internationally recognized thanks to its anti-virus program ESET NOD32 Antivirus, which has enjoyed success especially on the Japanese, Malaysian, Australian, American and Mexican markets.
The Entrepreneur of the Year contest was established in 1986 in the US, aiming to praise entrepreneurs who have founded companies that are successful over the long term. Forty countries are participating this year. Slovenia, Chile and the Middle East region will participate in next year’s contest.
