The 95-strong Slovak company serves within a joint battalion of 360 Austrian soldiers in the mission, the SITA news agency wrote.

The Slovaks' task is to monitor the line of separation between Syrian and Israeli forces at six observer posts on the Golan Heights at altitudes of 400 to 1,400 metres above sea level. Slovak soldiers have been serving in the UNDOF mission since 1998.
