Slovakia’s men’s ice hockey team beat Sweden 4:3 in a dramatic match in the quarter finals at the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver on February 25, the TASR newswire wrote.

In doing so they secured the best position ever for the country at the Olympics in this discipline – fourth, at worst. They will meet the home Canadian team at 3:30 Central European time on Saturday, February 27 (Friday, 18:30 Vancourver time).

The Canadian team beat their Russian rivals 7:3 and made a big stride towards winning Olympic gold, TASR wrote. TASR
