Slovakia's foreign trade account posted a surplus of €82.1 million in December 2011, the Statistics Office (ŠÚ) announced on February 8 as reported by the TASR newswire.
Total exports in December 2011 amounted to €4.349 billion, growth of 7.5 percent, TASR wrote based on the ŠÚ report. Imports rose by 0.5 percent in the month to reach €4.267 billion.
A trade surplus of €2.518 billion was recorded for all of 2011. Total exports increased by 17 percent to €56.494 billion while imports increased by 13.6 percent to €53.975 billion.
