Representatives of aviation offices from Slovakia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovenia – countries that belong to the Functional Airspace Block Central Europe (FAB CE) – signed a treaty on May 30 in Bratislava concerning cooperation between national supervisory bodies responsible for air navigation services in this part of Europe, the TASR newswire wrote.
By signing the treaty the individual countries will ensure that the new National Supervisory Authorities Coordination Committee will be put into operation and will meet the tasks stemming from the Treaty on Establishing the FAB CE.
Under this document Slovakia will take part in the Single European Sky initiative with the purpose of making air navigation more effective in terms of transport safety, expenditures, flight capacity and environmental stability.
