The Slovak delegation, which was formally invited by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, will also include representatives from the Slovak Foreign Affairs Ministry and Government Office, the TASR newswire wrote. The summit will assess the Hungarian presidency which has just ended and approve the programme of the new Slovak presidency. The Slovak term actually began on July 1 and will last until June 30, 2011.

The government said that Radičová will tell her partners about Slovakia’s priorities, including how it will mark the V4’s 20th anniversary. She will give a short presentation of the events planned for this occasion, which will fall on February 15, 2011. The summit will also concern the current EU agenda, especially when it comes to the common interests of V4 countries within the upcoming Hungarian and Polish EU presidencies. Delegates will focus on energy security, a new financial perspective after 2013, the common agricultural policy, the Eastern Partnership and the Western Balkans.
