"The United States of America is the world's number one economy, and we can't think of a better country to start off [the roadshow]. Meanwhile, the USA still isn't ranked among the top three in terms of foreign direct investment in Slovakia, hence our wish for an upswing," said Miškov.

The roadshow is targeted at showcasing Slovakia as a country fit for entrepreneurship and business. "We're not going to offer tax holidays or other sorts of incentives. We're aiming to convince potential investors who are mulling over investments in Europe – or specifically Slovakia – that out of all the options our country is the best," he added. A nine-strong delegation is to make the trip overseas that is scheduled to feature talks with companies such as IBM, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Gartner and Google. A similar presentation is planned for Germany later this year.
