Representatives of Slovakia’s centre-right parties: the Slovak Democratic and Christian Union (SDKÚ), Freedom and Solidarity (SaS), the Christian Democratic Movement (KDH), and Most-Híd will meet on Tuesday, June 22, to discuss a coalition agreement for the four parties that will hold a majority in the new parliament, the TASR newswire wrote.
“Tuesday's discussions will be about formulating a manifesto and also a prologue to dividing responsibilities vis-a-vis government and parliament,” KDH Chairman Ján Figeľ told TASR on June 21.
The four centre-right parties are currently holding unofficial talks over the issues to be included in the government’s manifesto, with some of these issues set to be published on Tuesday. Figel said that he finds the extent to which the parties managed to reach agreement “encouraging”.
“However, without coming to full agreement on everything, we don't have anything,” he stressed, adding that the negotiations are moving towards full agreement.
