Daniel Lipšic, former justice minister and deputy chairman of the opposition Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) party gave a news conference on July 30 to announce that he thinks “government parasites” in Slovakia are still winning over decent people, the SITA newswire wrote.
He told media that decent people lost in ten scandals linked with the government this month, mentioning the new national football stadium, a contest for purchase of ambulances with a winner selected in advance, overpriced publishing of textbooks, a state a subsidy for Skipark Orava, a tender for interpreters at the Interior Ministry and punishment of a police officer who disclosed an official report about the verbal attack made by the ruling coalition SNS leader Ján Slota, among others.
The Christian Democrats also see a big problem in the revision to the law on waste, which will raise the prices of consumer electronics and will mean more funds for the Recycling Fund that is beyond public scrutiny, SITA wrote. SITA
