Slovakia's Economy Ministry is planning a survey focused on foreign visitors to Slovakia and it will spend almost €664,000 from its budget on this purpose over the next three years, the SITA newswire reported.
The survey’s goal is to provide figures on foreign tourists in Slovakia that are not available from other official statistics. The ministry explained in the notice announcing the tender that the aim was to obtain data related to tourism demand directly from foreign visitors. The ministry is therefore seeking a company to carry out the survey and is requesting at least 7,000 respondents annually.
Following the data collection the tender winner will draft a separate report on the information collection. The acquired information will serve the needs of the Economy Ministry and other entities and the data will be published, the department told SITA.
Bidders must submit proposals by December 18. The core assessment criteria are the overall price (35 percent), the number of places where the survey will be carried out (25 percent), the number of days during which the survey will be implemented (25 percent) and the number of respondents (15 percent).
