Slovakia's participation in Iraq ends

Defence Minister František Kašický has announced that after the return of five Slovak Army officers from Iraq, Slovakia's operation in the NATO mission there has officially come to an end.

Five army officers returned to Slovakia on April 24. Kašický presented Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Pánis, Captain Vladimír Gažo, Captain Ľubomír Hulín, First Lieutenant Peter Garaj and First Lieutenant Jozef Švarný with medals for service in peacekeeping missions.
