Sales in industry in Slovakia fell by 11.9 percent in October 2009 compared to the same month last year.
In monthly terms, sales in industry rose slightly, with a 0.2 percent increase compared to September 2009. In selected market services, they went up by 0.4 percent. Sales in the construction sector were lower by 3.3 percent, in transport and warehousing by 3.1 percent and in the IT and communications sector by 0.3 percent.
