Slovakia’s vice premier discusses cyclotron centre with Russian ambassador

Preparations for a visit of Russian President Dmitrij Medvedev, co-operation in science and research, completion of the Cyclotron Centre and other projects of mutual interest were discussed by Slovak vice pemier Dušan Čaplovič and Russian Ambassador to Slovakia Alexander Ivanovic Udaltzov on December 17, the TASR newswire reported. Čaplovič said that both the cyclotron and proton centres being built in Ružomberok can become a basis for centres of excellence for joint Slovak-Russian scientific research. Čaplovič and Udaltzov also discussed the protection and maintenance of Russian military graves in Slovakia and agreed that the graves represent a historical monument that holds a joint message about the past of both countries.
