MORE than 50 percent of Slovaks think that some local media are politically biased, and 33.7 percent believe that all Slovak media are so, a survey shows.
According to a survey carried out by the Polis Slovakia agency between September 13 and September 16 on 970 respondents, 60 percent of people think that media have a considerable impact on politics and on politicians.
Half of the respondents also believe that the different political parties do not have equal opportunities to express themselves in media.
Nearly 32 percent of people believe that media owners influence the choice of stories, while 43.2 percent feel it is driven by the interests of various politicians.
