DEPUTY Defense Miniseter Martin Fedor and his Moldavian counterpart Ion Coropcean signed a treaty on mutual military cooperation, the TASR news agency wrote.

The co-operation will focus mainly on military education, soldiers' activities in peace missions, and on the exchange of experiences in the NATO accession process.

Both representatives also agreed on the creation of a bilateral group of military experts. In this way, Moldova wants to express its pro-European orientation.

Slovakia supports Moldova's entry into European institutions. "Slovakia is for the peaceful settlement of the Podniester conflict but is not for Moldova splitting up," Fedor said.
