THE MID-year profit of Slovakia's largest bank, Slovenská sporiteľňa (SLSP), reached Sk1.4 billion according to Slovak accounting standards, up from Sk975.6 million in the same period of last year.
SLSP spokeswoman Eva Guttlerová told the SITA news agency that client deposits at SLSP amounted to Sk175.8 billion while client loans were Sk53.3 billion.
About 80 percent of SLSP shares are controlled by Erste Bank, while the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development owns the rest.
