If parliamentary election took place in January 2014, the Smer party (also at the helm currently) would have won the race with 43.6 percent of votes. This stems form a poll conducted between January 6 and February 2 by the Median SK polling agency, targeting, 124 respondents.
The second place would go to the opposition Christian-Democratic Movement (KDH ) with 9.2 percent and the third to Ordinary People and Independent Personaliries (OĽANO) at 8.6 percent. Other parties which still would make it to the parliament are Slovak Democratic and Christian Union (SDKÚ) at 7.9 percent), Most-Híd with 7 percent, Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) 5.6 percent and the Slovak National party (SNS) with 5.2 percent. The Party of Hungarian Community (SMK) would not receive chairs in parliament, garnering mere 4.7 percent. No other party or movement gained more than three percent, the TASR newswire quoted the poll.
