THE RETAIL price of cigarettes is on the rise. If a revised tax law passes, the price of a standard packet of 20 will go up Sk11 as of January 2006, the SITA news agency wrote.
Higher cigarette prices would generate Sk960 million (€24.6 million) in additional tax revenue, provided consumption levels remain the same.
