ECONOMY Minister Pavol Rusko has decided to ask the cabinet to cancel a resolution on a Memorandum of Understanding with Truthheim Invest, the company that wants to complete and subsequently operate the new Slovak National Theatre (SND) building, reported the daily Pravda.
Rusko added that his New Citizen's Alliance (ANO) party would support proposals to complete the building without burdening the state budget.
The decision came after a special parliamentary session was held on the future of the new SND building.
Opposition and coalition representatives have criticized Rusko for selecting Truthheim without a proper public tender. A special committee has started work on what to do next about the completion of the SND.
